Old New House is a new kind of mom and pop shop: Born on the internet, brought to local brick-and-mortar. Our specialty in hand knotted rugs, photography, interior design and experience in the online world now grounds us in New York's Westchester County.

In July 2015 Westchester Magazine voted us as the "Best of Westchester" for rugs. As of 2014, our business is predominantly online, catering to a wide range of national and international clientele. With the opening of our shop in Katonah on January 2015, we're super honored to be featured soon thereafter with the distinction of Best of Westchester and our studio presence by appointment. Authenticity, genuine age and period correct décor are important to us, as are texture and colors. Inspired floral and geometric vintage rugs with modern and Persian motifs are a shop favorite. We source and carry rare and collectible rugs from antiquities to the 19th century, as well as outworn, distressed and faded carpets with great decorative value. We love older rugs with a story, and in many cases this brings our selection of fine carpets through the early and mid 20th century. Regardless of style, we feel a strong connection between the timeless and ancient artisan craft of hand knotted Oriental Rugs. In our offering choice and select examples of rugs in classic and olden appeal, we know you will find our fine selection and attention to detail among the most discerning to be found.
